Karl Skorecki MD

Karl Skorecki MD received his MD degree in 1977 and pursued postgraduate clinical and research training at the Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He served as Director of the Rappaport Research Institute for 15 years where he launched several major research programs that resulted in more than 250 publications and close to 8000 citations. One of his novel discoveries attracted widespread public and media interest including “Sixty Minutes”, Newsweek, Nova, National Geographic, Discovery, and many others. His current major research interests are in human population and molecular genetics.
